Any of you installed this with adhesive only? If so what did you use? Used google found lots of threads about fenda but nothing about this type of mounting. I would like to avoid the screws if possible.
TIA

If you want to avoid screws, you can use PVC cement...the stuff they use for water pipes. Score the plastic really good and stick it down. Use a rag between the fender and the tire to apply pressure.

The only downside is it's perminent, so if you have to replace it, it could be a job getting it off. Not impossible with the right tools, but screws would be much easier. I used cement and it's NOT ever coming off.

I installed my fenda extenda 2 weeks ago. Be very careful with the cement. Make sure you use the ABS cement. It is a black color and is a little goopy in viscosity. I'm not sure what is in PVC cement but don't use anything with toluene as this will melt the extenda. The ABS is methyl ethyl keytone and that is what turns the extenda and the fender into one piece.

I left the tire and fender on. Cleaned the inside of the fender and roughed up the inside of the fender and adjoining part of the fenda extenda with 150 grit sandpaper. Smeared a heavy layer of ABS cement on the extenda and pressed it into place. I then held it in position for about 8 min- that was all it needed.

The whole process was 20 min and the bond is permanent.

ABS is Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene - basically rubber modified Styrene (for impact resistance). It is a very common engineering thermoplastic.

Methyl Ethyl Ketone is a solvent, and will soften most amorphous thermoplastics, as will most other solvents, including model airplane glue, acrylic adhesives, PVC cement, etc.

The ABS cement will not stick to the dog. You will need to attach it with the screws.
