On my 2007 DL650 I did the thing (looks like this is a pretty common rookie mistake) of installing handguards, bar risers, and adjusting the position of levers, and now have my clutch lever hitting my flash-to-pass button.
My question is: how should the lever be positioned? I can't remember if it missed the button above or below before I started messing with things. It seems that the way I have things set now (the way I like it for comfort) that either above or below is just too much. I'd hate to have the tail wagging the dog here, by having that yellow button dictate my ergonomics.
Any suggestions?

Actually, never mind.
Just kept fiddling with this and that, and now have what seems to be good positions for everything with the clutch lever traveling below the hi-beam-pass switch.
Hopefully this helps some other rookie.

On my vee the clutch lever comes back to the grip, closer to the bottom, so it's way underneath the pass switch. It's not even close.
