Just install my ATV-HI Pro taper bars and have a couple questions.

1. On the install instructions it says that the upper and lower clamps
should not touch but mine do. I tightened little at a time to 16.5 ftlbs.
solutions please?

2. Also the brake line is marginal. I reached down in the front end and
bent the hose spring guide up a little and it was an improvement.
Prob will get a SS line that is longer and will solve the problem that way.

Hope this makes since.

This is the recommended way to tighten the top clamps:

The top bolt should be screwed in until the top clamp part barely touches the underside of the clamp(do this by hand), then tighten the bottom clamp to 16.5ftlbs, then tighten the top to 16.5ftlbs. You want to use the bottom part of the clamp as the "clamping force"...if that makes sense...and yes, it will touch...on the top...but the bottom won't.

Also, remove the brake line from the bottom wire completely. Everything has been fine for me this way for 8K miles.

If you're not using any type of bar risers, you should have plenty of room this way.

BTD.
