not sure if it's the same on the wee, but there's an open two-pin connector on my dlk behind the radiator (passenger's side) right next to the horn. you can buy a pigtail from suzuki for about $14 that plugs right in. it's meant for grip warmers. gotta unplug the heat sender unit to pull the shielding back enough to gain access.
Yesterday I installed a set of Hotgrips on my DL1000. In the past I've used Kimpex grip heaters which go underneath regular grips. They did the job, but heated up slowly, and uneavenly, and it was hard to get grips mounted over them without coming loose. This time I took the plunge ($170 Canadian worth with tax) and bought the Hotgrips brand grips.
I wired thim to the Heated grips plug using a horn relay wire plug. I mounted the resistor to the front fairing mount bracket. I made a small aluminum bracket for the switch and mounted it on the lower bolt on the left mirror. This puts the switch where I can reach it with my left thumb when I'm riding.
The grips are excellent. I flick it to high for 2-3 minutes then flick it to low which seems to be just right. They heat up fast and evenly. The grips themselves are a nice grippy rubber. I had heard that earlier models were hard plastic so I was a little worried, but these are just great. Another nice thing, for me anyway is that they are a larger diameter than the stock grips, they fit my large hands better than the stock grips.
That's the NEP CC-4. One problem is it's designed to capture a throttle cable coming from the bottom of the housing. Rigging a connection that is rotated 90 degrees forward of the pictured mount works better for me.
