Just watch out on 101, especially thru the city, they are nuts......... If you want to do things in SFO, my favorite place was the Piers, Pier 39 is a tourist trap yet fun when I was a kid. Walking along the piers there's always some good food, little italy or china town. Fresh seafood always a fovorite of mine. Little Italy you could get some snack for later
In the city there's the curviest road in america, Lombard Street. - Coit tower is a nice place, my last visit to the zoo was not what I would recommend, stinky and worn down.
