First get together of the new Breakfast Club was great. 4 Stroms (and a Goldwing) showed up. Had a good breakfast with plenty of Strom talk. SerTrom had to leave, but the rest of us did a nice ride. Estacada to Molalla and then to Newberg where we had something to drink and said our goodbyes.
The Rose City 250 is Sunday, April 8th. That will be our next get together. It starts at Beaverton Motorcycles. More info to follow or google Rose City Motorcycle Club for details. Hope to see you there.

The RC 250 is a roughly 250 mile poker run style event that starts and ends at Beaverton Motorcycles. The route is different every year and you don't know where you are going until you register and get your route directions. I've done several over the years and it is great fun. We usually leave around 7'ish and get back around 3:30 with lunch along the way (assuming we don't get lost). Here's an explanation from their website. https://www.rose-city-mc.org/RCEventfliers/250.html

"The Rose City Oregon "250" is a poker run for road riders. Approximately 250 miles in length, it serves as an excellent opportunity to tune-up for the Rose City Oregon 500 in May.

The "250" will again benefit the Providence Brain Institute as well as the Vernonia Food Bank. Last year raising over $5,000 in contributions to the Providence Brain Institute for research and patient support and also, adding almost a ton of food to the Vernonia Food Bank.

The first 22 years of the Rose City Oregon 250 charity event has been a huge success! The 9,000+ participants, traveling over 2.2 million fun filled miles, have made it possible to donate over $50,000 to the National Kidney Foundation and 10 tons of food for Vernonia Food Bank."

I realized that a bit ago, that is why I got a Vee. Unfortunately, it is down with a coolant leak, waiting radiator hoses, that is why I had to ride the Wing. It should be up and running for the RC250.

I'm out in Scappoose and typically ride into Portland for work during the week when it's reasonably decent weather. Occasionally take trips on the weekend when it doesn't interfere with my rigorous golf schedule.

I'll have to keep an eye on this thread and see when the meet-ups are.

Good to hear from you H8-3Putts. My brother (a Vee rider) lives out that way, too.
If you get your 18 holes on Saturday April 7th, you can join us on Sunday and do the RC250. I have put in for good weather for that day, but I can request the same for Saturday, too. Hope to see you then.

Blast from the past

Here's some Breakfast Club pics from the old days (07 & 08).
At a rest stop on Hwy 4 in Washington.
We were hi-viz before it was fashionable. A lot of us wore Olympia vests.
There's Phil's blue shark, before it turned into a yellow Hornet.

Hi Mike, it’s Steve. Can you tell Pete to check his inbox. I sent him a private message. I’m trying to get some information on some of his accessories.

Or if you don’t mind sending me his email address that would be great also!

Thanks so much!

Me, too. Normally, if I look out the window and it's raining, I go back to bed. If it's not raining, I dress in case it rains. Because the bike is still new to me, my wife does not want me to ride in the rain. I will stick to my normal model. This time of year, the weather is a crap shoot. That's why I don't pre-register. Hopefully, the forecast will shift and will be dry'ish on Sunday. We'll see.

Well...woke up Saturday morning with an inner ear issue, room would spin when I moved my head quick. Was hoping Sunday would be better and it was, but not enough to risk riding. Might try the 500 next month. Will see. Hope anyone that rode today has a good and safe ride.

Welcome to the group Adam. We shoot to do breakfast and a ride the second Saturday of the month. I think the guys are doing this Saturday, weather permitting. Hope to see you there.
