Ok, I give up. Is there a secret to separating the plug to the throttle body harness so I can install the Power Commander in the middle?
I'm reading all these posts about 5 or 10 minute installations.

I just did this on my DL650 last weekend, same issue. My power commander has the same plugs as the bike. I could get a hand on them from under the bike, but I ended up pulling the air box after much frustration. There is a tab on the bottom that needs to be pressed, then the plug needs to be pulled, that being said they don't just come off. I had to press the tab with one figure, then get another figure behind the plug and pull hard while pressing the tab. It's a pain but they will come off. Be careful of the wires, and don't use tools

Thanks for the information. I'm leaving on a 7-8 day trip in the morning. I've decided that it can wait until I get back. I'm not real comfortable making big changes this close to leaving without a chance to do some shakedown rides.

Thanks again.

When I did mine on my Vee, I remember it being counter intuitive to pull apart.
If you are anal it is imperative to remove the tank to run wires because if any wires that look out of place after labor day....it's a no no.
I called the PC111 guys at Fuel Moto for advice. It's better to ask a shitload of questions instead of forcing connections apart. Good luck on your ride.
