Did this just start happening or, like me, you've finally getting around to sorting this out after buying the bike? A previous owner might have altered some connector(s) by changing some pins for some unknown purpose. I think you will need a wiring diagram (and a magnifying glass if your eyes are like mine) and trace the wires from the ignition switch in the P position.
Assuming that the wiring is basically the same as my 2017 DL 650, here is the routing from the ignition switch to the parking light & tail light.

- RED TO FIRST CONNECTOR (hereinafter "1C,2C etc.) RED TO BLACK/RED
- TO STARTER RELAY
- BROWN TO 1C BROWN 2C TO BROWN PARK LIGHT AND BROWN TAIL/BRAKE LIGHT
