I am voting by the process of elimination this year...

I can't vote for the NDP 'cuz I still remember "Rae Days"... will never vote Conservative again because of the chaos of the Harris years...

That leaves the Lying Liberals or the Green's and the Green Party is too militant and left-wingnutty for me so I'm stuck with voting Liberal which I'm not at all enthusiastic about in spite of the fact that our local incumbent Liberal guy has done a lot for the area (our new hospital is FINALLY being constructed).

I am voting for MMP although it seems like a lost cause... too bad.

It's funny how all you Conservatives forget about the 5 billion plus deficit that Mike and Ernie left Dalton. Of course they said the books were balanced and Dalton made promises based on the assumption that the books actually were balanced. If it was a publicly traded company and the CEO's cooked the books to the tune of 5 billion, I think they would be put in jail. Not to mention the sale of all the provinces assets like the 407 to pay for a lousy pittance of a tax cut. Ya bring back Mike, I mean Ernie, I mean John. NOT!! Oh and lets not forget about the 1000 or so nurses fired by honest Mike. I am sure there are many fans of the PCs in Ipperwash as well.

A guy at work told me that the Liberals were going to bring in a provincial holiday in February, something like Family Day or whatever. I don't know if it's true but what the hell, if there is a chance that CN will own me for one less day in the year is worth my vote.

Well the results are in and it's going to be the same gang running the province for the next 4 years.

My poll results were surprisingly accurate for the Liberals and Conservatives given the small sample. We must have quite a representative cross-section of the electorate riding Strom's.

Anyway, I hope McGuinty is as humbled by the second chance given him by the people of Ontario as he seemed in his speech last night. There can be no blaming new taxes on a "surprise" inherited budget deficit this time around but I have a sneaking suspicion they'll find other "beyond their control" excuses like the high CDN dollar killing exports/manufacturing, Ontario taxpayers feeding huge federal surpluses which are not being redirected back here etc., etc.

We'll see what happens, I guess.

The correct way to vote is to fire all the politicians in USA and Canada and start fresh, but the problem is that s _ _ t always floats to the top again
