With the end of riding season fast approaching, we are leaving on the 15th of October for one last ride West.

Our plan (weather permitting) is to get out to Calgary and do that south run down thru Kananaskis and maybe into BC abit.

Keep'n our fingers crossed.

Cheers!

Just got back last night. We put on 3700km in 4 days of riding. Left here and travelled straight west thru southern SK until Maple Creek, we tented in Cyprus Hills Park. We then joined up with the TCH to Medicine Hat, then down to Lethbridge. The weather was actually pretty decent for this time of year, with highs of 12-18C. From Lethbridge we traveled on down thru the Crow's Nest pass and ended up for the night in Cranbrook. The next day we headed north up to Radium then took the highway "less travelled" coming out near Banff.
We always enjoy the route that takes you down thru the Kananaskis area, then turning north at Longview. A quick bike in Bragg Creek and then carried on East on the 22X hwy. We took a room in Medicine Hat for the night.
Day 4 started off pretty nice, cool but sunny and no wind. By the time we hit Moose Jaw, the weather had turned and it was getting a tad on the cool side (thank goodness for heated clothing!).
Rather than continue on the TCH, we headed south just past Moose Jaw down to Weyburn. By the time we hit Carlyle (SK) it was starting to rain. It actually cleared up after about half an hour and even seemed to warm up a tad. We blitzed it back into Manitoba on Hwy 2 towards home with the last 45 minutes in a good rain.
All in all, not a bad ride.

Cheers!
