I had my dealer just do a drivetrain replacement on my 2014 DL1000, and when I got home I noticed the smell of burning oil. At first I thought it was just the new chain wearing in. But now I'm seeing small drips of oil on the ground below the sprocket/clutch area.

Is the oil leak related to the drivetrain change?

Any thoughts as to what is the problem? I'm dropping it back off after the holiday.

Likely a funked up slave cylinder area, have you ever cleaned out behind there? Too much lube gunk causes the seal to leak where the piston activates the clutch plates.

The leak started after the whole area was cleaned. It's still leaking small amounts of motor oil, not clutch fluid.

Any thoughts about how to fix it?

I'd start with a good look around after removing the front sprocket cover. Yes, it's most likely to do with the seal around the clutch pushrod. It may have been damaged or shifted when they cleaned out the front sprocket area.

Mine was doing the same but it wasn't the fluid. I ordered the seals for the push rod and counter shaft and replaced them Monday evening. I think it was the counter shaft seal due to the amount of engine oil that was on the back side of the seal retainer at the shaft.
I haven't had the chance to ride it yet. Hopefully that did the trick. I really hate working in that area of the bike especially removing the slave cylinder. I never can get it off and back on without blowing the piston. Anyway, take it back and have them look at it. The seal replacement is not that hard.

Not bike specific but in my experience a leak can be hidden by the buildup of oil and dirt. After cleaning, the leak will be much more apparent. The dealer may not have caused the leak, they may have just exposed it.

This is sort of what I'm thinking since there was TONS of lube build up before the dealer changed the cog.

But what could be causing the link?

As mentioned above there are two types of fluid that can leak from that area, DOT 4 and engine oil. You can generally tell the difference just by feel and smell (and maybe an accidental taste).
If it is DOT 4 then you know the slave cylinder is the culprit and needs to be rebuilt or replaced. I replaced mine instead of rebuilding.
If it is engine oil then click on the link in my post above and you will see information on how to replace the two seals that would be the culprit. You will need to access both the seals to replace either one so I chose to replaced both while I was in there, however, more so that I wasn't sure which one was leaking. After removing the seal retainer and seeing the amount oil behind the retainer at the counter-shaft seal I think that was the culprit.
