I will be putting the bike away for the winter in a month or two.

Question? Which is better. To change the oil and filter now and let it sit over the winter OR change both in the spring?

Thanks

Change oil and filter with if your cheap Walmart cheap oil

Add a couple of OZ of fogging oil in the crank

Start her for a minute so new oil circulates... put her to bed

In the spring run and take out cheap oil and put in the good stuff for the season

You can change the oil before storing and run on that oil in the Spring. Since it has no running time beyond getting it flowing after the change, there's no need to drain it. If fogging oil is used, it goes in the top end, not the bottom end. Spray it in the spark plug holes. Do not run the engine at all after fogging. Just put the bike in gear and turn the rear wheel a couple of times with the spark plugs out to distribute the oil over the top end. Then put the plugs back in.
