A buddy of mine switched bikes with me yesterday afternoon. He jumped on the Vstrom and I jumped on his for a few miles. He got off and had a big smile. I knew what he was going to say before he said it.

The quote was, "You can tell that this thing wants to GO!" Needless to say he's going to sell his bike and buy a strom.

There's something about this bike that makes you want to smile.

I switched bikes with a co-worker who has a V Strom 1000. While it saved me having to downshift with that torque the only real difference of note was the seat. The 650 seat height is just too low.

His bike must have been a dog then... V-stroms are not known for there "Go" factor.... Still, I love 'em...

If the Wee seat is too low for you, find someone with a 1000 who wants to swap for a lower seat- the two are interchangeable.

Depends if Topaz's bike is the Wee or the Vee.
[my Wee really wants to go too, it just keeps getting faster as the mileage builds- 46,600+km on the dial now]
