My oem center stand on the DL1000 seems to getting a lot of wear on the bottom and looks to be almost wearing too thin from constant use against rough concrete surfaces.

Has anyone tried to coat the bottom of the center stand bottom with truck bed liner paint to lessen that type of damage?

Any success stories?

Cheers

If the steel is wearing thin, take it off and to a welding shop for a layer of steel welded on. Bed liner won't stop that wear.

Another option if you feel like fooling with it is to epoxy a larger footprint piece of metal to the bottom (or attach with nuts and bolts) and end up with a stand that won't sink in soft ground.

Good plan#2
Would need to find some good epoxy. (i.e. better than the 5 minute stuff).
