Sounds like a problem with the gear position switch.
Or the clutch switch.
Shorted wires?

Fantastic thank you. Yeah the clutch needs to be pulled in even with the stand up and in neutral. Assuming that’s not how it should be? Thanks againWith that constellation of symptoms, I'd probably start by checking and cleaning the large electrical connector behind the left side fairing at the front.
Not when it's in neutral, at least not on a gen3. I'm (embarrassingly) not sure whether the same was true of my gen1.Absolutely not an expert on your generation of bike, but as far as I know all Stroms have clutch switches, so you need to pull the clutch too start, no matter what.
That’s correct. I apologize for resurrecting the thread, still can’t figure out why the bike will never start with the stand down. The OP is saying the bike will not start when in neutral with the stand down, that is not normal.
But it will start with the stand up. !!
You have just added the information needed.Yes, that’s the issue, clutch in standup will start, neutral, stand down it shuts off
Thanks everyone. Is there a wiring diagram on stormtroopers anywhere? Thanks
