I'm trying to find a dealer who will give me a price and reserve an 800 DE. I know there is at least one other no-haggle out-the-door price dealer in N.C. other than in Rockingham, but don't remember the name.

Anybody know of one?

While not in NC, SC or GA Romney Cycles in WV is a good place. No BS dealers with no freight and prep. Price listed os the price you pay.

I bought my 2018 new from the people in Rockingham and had it trucked to my home, then in Mi. I did it entirely by email. Got a great price and everything went flawlessly. I'd do it again. I know from others that Romney is great too.

They had very little of anything last year. Normally the place has a nice inventory of motorcycles (as in 100's). Last year you could have played soccer in-between bikes. Haven't been there for a while to see how stocked the showroom is currently.

I spoke to Romney and they came back about $100 cheaper than Rockingham, but Rockingham was so much closer to me that I went with them.

Deposit made. Now trying to work with the distributor to get it here in time for the eastern gathering.

So talk to me about no haggle please. I’m waiting on a call from Rockingham. Local dealer in Winston-Salem today added $2,200 to MSRP for shipping, setup, paperwork, and whatever. When I asked if they do better he dropped the extra charges to $900. Rockingham advertised price is MSRP. $900 is still steep.

I'd say they are a good place to start. Ask for Jeff and tell him Rick Hughes mentioned him as a good place to get a good fixed price quote.

Then compare that to what you can find from other fixed price dealers. The deals depend on the how hot the commodity is, but the quote will be less than retail without additional fees excepted maybe tax and license.
