I learned---

---If you're riding close to the inside of the turn on the approach you can see bugger all.
---Don't trust the telegraph poles to tell you which way the unseen road is going.
---Description of the rear brake as an anchor for very slow turning is apt...I like that.

I'm not sure I need one more thing to think about regarding vanishing points. That was in David L. Hough's books, also. I don't really see the need--I'm probably using them without thinking about them--but I'll give it a try.

The technique of staying out or keeping in on bends to maximise view distance is usually know as 'police' riding/driving here in the uk because it's how our police interceptors are taught how to Golf Lima Foxtrot.

I recently watched this video....

notice how he hardly if at all uses the brakes.

His other vids are worth a look also, even if you've got a lot of miles under your belt.
