I rode a friends a few months ago and was sold. Now I have one and love it. 2008 DL650 with 63,000 miles. I found a plastic resurfacer from Eastwood that has worked great on the fender and other black plastic parts that had gotten very faded. I've tried adjusting the rear brake pedal down per the manual, but by turning the link to the master cylinder, I only get about 3/4 in of travel and need about an inch more. I've read several threads on this, but can't find anything other that the manual's technique. Thanks.

Hola, mind the adjustments for travel of the pedal or position. I did that improperly on another bike and toasted the disk. It caused the brake to be applied all the time.
A change of brake fluid may be a better task.
When ever I read about brake problems i recommend brake bleeders to make the work easy. http://kirbysbrakebleeders.ecrater.com/
