Hi there am saving up for a DL1000 purchase this spring and would appreciate advice on the best couple of places to look price wize in BC.

I bought my last Strom ('09 Wee) at Motorcycle World in Surrey so contacted them after I had a price from a dealer in AB, thinking I would get a "repeat" customer price. Well the price was pretty much retail (minus Zuk's non-current year discount). They had a used one for sale with low miles, centre stand, hand guards and first service but it worked out to being more after you included the bits plus it was used.

So I'm back to the drawing board.

I live in Northern BC so my choices are limited and as such so is the competition.

I'm leaning to the AB bike as the price is about $500 less than I could see it at other places (ie: Holeshot in Langley did not budge much).

I'm about as far away from the AB store as I am from Holeshot so I could go either way, mind you the ride back from the AB store would be waaay much nicer given I can do the Icefields and a road trip to break the bike in would be a bonus as well....

As I live so far away I'm not looking for after purchase support as long as any Interior Zuk dealer can do any warranty work (ie: non currents now have a 5 year warranty but $200 less off the price as of the new incentive offer in January).

Suggesitons....?

Thanks!

Hey BC-1K, good tip I'll give them a call (and that was on a bike only a year old versus the '14s around still this year).

By the way, have you received your recall letter (3 items) and if yes, where will you go to have the work done as I understand its a bit of a crap shoot for Zuk mechanics in the Lower Mainland (and other places I've found, and not just on Zuk bikes!).

Update; I contacted BDM and they have a '14 left but it also comes with a $850 Suzuki top case (really Suzuki will it make me coffee in the morning as well?) that I don't need and they won't reduce the price without it so I had to pass. Brain was prompt and courtious though.
