I guess what bugs me most about the XT is that the engine cowl is not a durable skid plate and similarly the hand guards are wind guards. Both better than nothing I guess but for the added cost... Also the tail case is nice but side cases are a bit too small for me when I actually need them.

Otherwise I would have preferred side by side headlights but I never liked the shape of the '12-'16 anyway.

Do a search for "2017 v-strom 250" and check out the larger side cases. The 250 may have a lower muffler which allows the larger side cases so I don't know if they will fit the 650. Capt D.

When the Glee first came out, it had a front brake light switch recall. Almost all were done at dealers or importers before the bikes were sold but some very early owners needed to bring them in.

Yeah, what GW said.

I stopped into the local dealer by my workplace and asked the dude when the DL's are coming in. He said you can't see them until the bike show. In 2-3 weeks. He also said the bikes get to the southern dealers first because they can ride sooner. He seemed to be pretty much in the dark about all the Suzuki bikes. Something about getting them in June too??

What a waste of time that was. Only good thing is they had a 1000 khaki carryover for $7799.00 :surprise:

Finally sat on one today. White is the only color available that I want but I can paint the tank red. :grin2:

Really like the red wheel stripes on Gixxer, probably get those for my DL.

Fairing has some silver color on that but it will match lots of things.

Seems to me that with the major change to the Wee, prices of last two gens will decline. Dealers advertising new ones now. I'm trying to figure out best timing to snag a first or second gen Wee, assuming people like the new one and will be selling their old rides!

Went to the bike show in TO this weekend. Looked at a bunch of bike that were on my shortlist. Walked away knowing I will be ordering myself a 2017 Wee Strom XT in white some time on Tuesday after work.

The 1000 was just an it too tall for my comfort, the FJ09 was not as comfy as I'd like and the Africa Twin is just too expensive for what I'm willing to spend at the moment. I'm sure I will miss the power I have with my Victory going back to a Wee Strom (previous 07 owner). But with a kid on the way I'm sure it will be re assuring to my wife to be back on a more sensible machine. Besides I know that 70hp is more that enuff 90% of the time. The only time I'd really miss the power is the odd trip I take out to the drag strip for test and tune night (maybe once a year).

Insurance for me on a 650 is almost $100 less a MONTH over the 1730cc Victory so I looking forward to that too
