Hi All.
I am new to the group. I ride a 2011 dl650. I have been away from motorcycling for near 20 years. I grow up on dirt bikes and small road and trial bikes on the sreet during and after high school. When moving from one state to another ha sold my bikes and never re upped. My wife and I just got our lisences again and I got the Vstrom while she got a Vespa 300. I am coming up on 2,000 miles and could not be happier with me bike choice. My big regret is waiting so long to get back on a motorcycle.

I can relate...although I stopped riding some thirty-plus years ago after a fairly painful T-boneing experience (in downtown Maynard, BTW) that battered and bruised me and left my Kawee 350 a tangled mess.

Around five years ago I started envisioning myself on a Beemer and so three summers ago I took the basic MSF course...and realized that IF I'd had a similar learning experience those thirty years ago, I might never have had the accident.

Now I just can't get enough of riding (hoping Irene will pass through quickly so I can get out on my Wee) and can't believe that having this much fun isn't illegal!
