Hello all, been reading this site for a while and thought I would finally join as I take delivery of my 2023 VStrom650XT Adventure this friday (Feb 3rd)
Been waiting for over a year to get one. Had a 22 on order but decided to cancel as it was in another state. Waited and waited and finally got a call from local dealer they got one in.
Thanks to the owners on this site I have several accessories on order already and I don't even have the bike yet.
Fork brace, aux lights from AdventureTech, Center stand. Still researching phone mounts. Would like something that mounts to the crossbar.
Anyhow thank you all for the hours and hours of reading and learning about this bike. Previous bike was a 99 ZX6 so this will be a new riding experience for me.

Take a look at one of the phone holders that include a magnetic charger built in. That way you don't have to use the USB cable to keep it charged.
Welcome! This is the hot spot for V-Strom info.

I'm afraid of ruining my phone camera so I upgraded from a RAM X-mount to a Quadlock with the vibration dampener last year and I love it. It's well worth the money.

Do you have to put a new case on your phone, one that's specific to Quadlock?

This one seems like it would work good.
Welcome to the forum, AzVStrom.

I am going to install the adventure tech lights on my wee next week. Impressed with the wiring harness although I am going to mount the switch next to the aux power outlet which will require a little modification.
Welcome to the Vstrom family. I spend winters here and summers in Minnesota
I no longer mount my cell phone as I to fried the camera on my last iPhone. Even a “vibration isolating” mount might ruin the camera which is a 300-400 fix, not worth it for any phone over a few years old. I simply use a tom tom gps and a Cardo pack talk edge. I can listen to music, hear directions and could receive or make a call (if I really wanted to) with voice commands.
Cell stays in my pocket as I don’t want to be distracted by emails or messages coming in.
I’m on the bike to enjoy the ride. But to each their own.

Thanks for the good info on that. Had no idea this was a problem when mounting Cell phones. I’ve been out of street riding since before iPhones came along, switched over to dirt. Now that I’ve given up dirt I’m back on the street again. A lot sure has changed in that time.

Thank you I most certainly will. Is it open to all bikes or just VStrom owners? Most of my riding buddies are on Harley's.
All bikes are welcome
