New Sena 50S Harmon Kardon microphone placement

Tried to call my wife with my new Sena 50S Harmon and all she could hear was "static and wind noise" as she described it.
On the Sena 50S is was very obvious which direction the microphone would point towards your mouth.
On this microphone, both sides of the mic look exactly the same, so I'm wondering how do I figure out which side to place towards my mouth?
Unless it's designed so it doesn't matter due to noice cancellation etc?

On my Sena SMH-10 there is a foam wind cover for the microphone. Without it, way too noisy to be useful; with it, like talking to someone seated next to you. Pictures of your mic would help.

Yes, I have the wind sock on. Don't have picture handy but microphone is exactly symmetrical. No difference at all between one side or the other.

Yes, that's how mine is also. There is a tiny arrow molded into the strut that the mic is attached to that points toward the user. Hope that helps in your case.

I saw two tiny arrows. They are exactly 180 deg symmetrical from each other, and both point towards the end of the mic, so that wouldn't tell me which side of the mic should point towards my mouth.
Do you have the new Sena 50S HARMON KARDON? Because the HK mic is different from the original 50S.
Thanks.
