Hello, I'm new tho this forum and have been reading up on the DL1K. Well I test rode what will be my new Strom today. It's an '05 with 30K miles. It has stock exhaust and a Powercommander and generally ran just fine. Some slight shutter on the bottom but the owner (second one) said he really never took the time to play with the map. He just finished a ride to Durango, CO from San Diego. As far as service goes, not sure if the valves have ever been adjusted and I believe the TB might need to be sync'd. Aside from this can any of you suggest other things for this noob to look for to make her run many many more miles? First thing of course in an oil change...
