New NC member

Bought my 2011 DL650 almost 3 months ago from the original owner. Bike was obviously obsessed over it's entire life as it looks totally new. Had just over 22k miles but not a scratch on it and all records from new. I have ridden just over 2k miles since the first week of June and totally loving the 2 wheeled life. I have owned some of the best driving cars (Porsche 911 and Cayman) and love the feeling that the motorcycle gives you. I am finally old and somewhat mature enough to hopefully not kill myself on a motorcycle, the love of speed is genetic in my family. I have been commuting to work most days on the V, it really puts me in a great mood for work.

I am an hour from the Blue Ridge Parkway and have enjoyed the roads between the Triad and Western NC if anyone is interested in getting together for a ride. I did just over 150 miles Saturday and had a great time. Planning on adding the Givi windscreen as being 6'2" the buffeting is pretty bad and maybe some side bags for weekend trips.
