I'm new to the DL bought this bike knowing the clutch is a bit rough! Otherwise a great machine. Looks like I will need to update the clutch basket to eliminate the vibration under acceleration. I'm interested too know more about the half shim option. I have good welding skills and equipment! Cheers

Without Pics, It Never Happened!!!
Welcome to the family. I am happy to see people keep the older bikes roadworthy.
My dad taught art and industrial art at our tiny jr. High and High school. By the age of 15 I could stick weld and gas weld/braze. I couldn't imagine getting along in life without a welder these days.
And with MIG equipment so cheap these days, I encourage anyone with even modest interest to get an inexpensive machine and have a go. Pretty much as easy as running a hot melt glue gun, but with molten steel.
