I visited Givi for the new Side Case Mount. They have used my biked for a photoshoot.

The mount is for the Givi Trekker Outback suitcases.

The mount fits perfectly on the bike. Is mounted on the original mounting points.

We tried the 37 and 48 liter side cases.

48 liter: Are really big:jawdrop:

36 liter: Fits very nicely.:hurray:

And 36 liter alu cases.

The 48 liter Cases are totally 112cm wide.

The 36 liter Cases are totally 95cm wide.

The topcase of the Outback is available soon.

Thats al Folks:thumbup:

Awesome, thanks for sharing these RhinoVStrom :yesnod:

Those Trekker Outback cases look awesome, and I see that they have just released details of a Trekker Outback top case as well

GIVI Releases new Outback Top Box | A Pair of Stroms

GIVI are coming out with some awesome accessories, can't wait to see the rest of their V-Strom 1000 range.

In RhinoVstrom's photos it looks like the mounts are equidistant from the bike and that the same size pannier can be used on both sides as they sit above the muffler. In the Givi link that zedex9r posted the photos from behind the bike seem to show the right side pannier smaller and mounted outside the muffler. Any idea of whether this is a mounting option to be decided when choosing a rack or if one of the systems now prevails? Personally I'm hoping for same size bags and mounted above the muffler.

Hey breathnach

That pic of the bike in my blog link is not a V-Strom 1000, it's a 1200GS which has a higher mounted pipe. I just put that pic up so that people got an idea of how the Outback set up looks :yesnod:

It looks like with the pics that Rhino posted there is no need for off-set mounts, and they appear to clear the pipe. This will allow symmetrical fitting of the 36 litres on both left & right

RhinoVStrom,
Thanks for sharing. Wow, I am pleasantly surprised that the hardware attaches so cleanly and efficiently. It looks as an integral part of the Vee2, especially the contact points on the bike and the crossmember under the tail section. As I have stated many times, the aftermarket accessories for this bike will be huge!

52 liter topcase:

See You later:thumbup:

P.S. Yes! they clear the pipe. And Yes!, it allows symmetrical fitting of the 36 or 52 litres on both left & right side.

Givi Trekker Top Case

Is there a US distributor for these? Still can find them anywhere. I'd like the 58l top box in black!
