I've been out of motorcycling for a while and recently got back into it. I picked up a 07 650 V Strom last Sunday and been smiling like a Cheshire cat ever since. What have I been missing all these years!!
Im really looking forward to getting involved and diving into the info available here.
Cheers from NE OHIO

Enjoy the new bike! This forum is a great place to find whatever you may need.
Nice bike and fun to work on. Almost boring in its reliability though, so not much to do :)
Welcome to the forum, TM1669.

Come on down and see us in May. Eastern V-Strom Rally

I did the same, 21 yrs bikeless was just too long. Reading the forums and watching YouTube vids to learn as much as I can...looking forward to it!

You picked the right bike. I was bike less for a good 10 years when I bought my 04 dl650, it runs great and has no problems ever. Reliability is not boring to me.

It's been almost eight years since I sold my '02 DL1000, telling myself I'm just too damn old. I've become a grandpa over those years and I've missed not having a bike. So I brought home a '11 DL650 ABS yesterday and took my first short local ride and I must say... it sure feels great to be back in the saddle again too, friends.

Welcome to the monkey house forum! I got my 44,000 mile 2007 ABS Wee out of the garage today after sitting for five months. Fired up on the first rotation, ran flawlessly (as it always does). These are great, rugged, reliable machines. I love my 2003 Kawasaki Concours, but they'll have to pry my Wee-Strom out of my cold dead hands.

I miss my Concours every now and then. They had "personality". Thought I would keep the 2005 C1000 forever, then the ST1300 came along. Then the Wing.
The 650 Strom is definitely a keeper.
