Hi everyone, hope everybody is excited to get out when the weather changes soon. I live in the Portland area and have a 2007 V Strom 1000. It’s due for a valve adjustment/check. Is there anybody in town that might be willing to help show me the way? I do not have the tools nor the experience but would be willing to do the work with somebody, and pay for your time.
87DF,
I’m no longer in PDX area, in Tricities of WA. Haven’t done the valves yet on my ‘06 DL1000 but do have shop space and tools. Want to drive up and learn together?

I'd be happy to swing by and provide guidance, but it sounds like you may be looking for someone to do it? Work and family have me tied up, otherwise I would, no charge. I've often thought of having moto mech days when I retire.
Is there anyway I could talk you into it? I’m actually willing to help do the work, but I’m certainly no mechanic. And I don’t have the right tools for this job. I’m not in a big hurry to do it. And I’m happy to pay you something for your efforts as well!
I would be open to that. Hopefully someone can recommend someone. Thank you!
