My stock seat cover is coming apart..

..at the seam. Has anyone had this happen and come up with a solution? I am wondering if there is an adhesive or bonding type agent that can be applied to the spot to the two sides of the cover to close the little gap and keep this thing from going all to hell. This is a stock seat on a bike with 57K miles, so it has been used but I would still like to save it
