..at the seam. Has anyone had this happen and come up with a solution? I am wondering if there is an adhesive or bonding type agent that can be applied to the spot to the two sides of the cover to close the little gap and keep this thing from going all to hell. This is a stock seat on a bike with 57K miles, so it has been used but I would still like to save it

Can a local upholstery shop restitch it? Or maybe anyone with a heavy duty sewing machine. You can reattach the cover to the seat with a heavy duty stapler.

HMM, yeah - I thought about just neatly sewing it myself. I suppose that would be fairly quick and easy and should not look to bad if done right. I was kind of hoping there was a super secret v-strom seat glue out there somewhere but maybe I am just grasping at straws here.

By the way, those chickens that voted for Col. Sanders are not crazy...they just took a long hard look at the alternative and decided Mr. Sanders was the better of the two

Seat cover coming apart at seam

Had same problem with mine about 1 1/2 years ago. Being a cheap person ,I used a liquid vinyl glue. I just laid a bead on the split being careful to cover both sides of the split. Used black paint[toutch up w/ applicator] to color vinyl, let dry. Mine is still holding and I have put 20K miles on it
