My bike saved my burrito

This is a short, but amusing story I felt needed sharing.

So -- Top case was open with a collection of things. Groceries among them. Just got my bike where I usually park it when I start hearing this crashing sound from around the back of my bike. Groceries. All over the ground. Luckily there weren't many! Collect all the goods, head inside and started looking for my burrito. But it's not there. Fearing the worse, I hurriedly ran into the back to begin my search half expecting the outdoor cat, racoon, or perhaps even a deer (if I were very lucky) nomming on my chosen dinner. But I can't find it. It's not on the ground, it's not on the seat, or anywhere I can immediately see.

I turn with the intention of collecting the keys and checking inside the top case, but I'm completely caught off guard by what I find. The burrito had somehow dropped perfectly onto the top of the muffler and heat shield, and managed to stick there all the while keeping warm from the residual heat of the exhaust.

Needless to say this made my day.

Forgive my awful story telling. I really wanted to share this. It's so completely unexpected. It had to land very specifically to manage to stay where I found it because it looked like it was ready to roll off if the bike got so much as bumped slightly.

I cooked Mom's frozen Lasagna in the engine compartment of my Corvair. Was perfect by the time I reached Brockville.
