I’m new here and thought I’d share some of my recent photos with my WEEEE. We have been all over southern and central Ohio riding mostly solo I can’t seem to ever find anyone that wants to ride. If you like pictures follow this thread I’ll continue to come here and post my pictures. I’d rather keep them all here than fill someone else’s thread with my pictures so follow for some pictures I take lots. I welcome all comments snide remakes and derailments.

The 650 just keeps going and going every video I have seen with the right armor. BTW what cold weather gear are you using very important to riders that are used to sweltering heat? From someone coming from a 4x4 overland background, moto camping/travel has few different preparedness points than in a suv or truck.

County 60 - Muskingum. I'm from 79 - Tuscarawas. Live in California now though. Great DS riding in the southeast portion of the state. You should check out the 'Adventure in Ohio' thread on ADV if you are looking for buddies who ride the type of stuff you seem to like, lots of rides on there.

I welcome all comments questions snide remarks and derailments in this thread.

I got the screws pulling out my driveway I had the bike for a month and pulled out my driveway to go for a nice long ride and it spun just a little and started to tank slap and I tried to power threw the tank slap and I had one of those wrist wrest things on the throttle and it caused me to give it way to much throttle and the bike bunny hopped and flipped over and that was the end of it. ThankfullyI had all my gear on except I had work boots on. No I don’t think riding boots would have helped it actually spun my foot backwards when it happened I honestly belive if I would have had my riding boots in I have now it would have just spun my knee instead

Crazy that you're on those types of woods trails with a DL, i guess that's what they're for. I generally leave the trails that look like that for my dirtbikes and atv's but more power to you and also awesome to see that the DL can handle the abuse. I have to imagine it's a slow careful crawl though.

I can't tell you how many riders I've talked to who have gone down, do it right when they're pulling out of the drive. Often times cold tires, loose pebbles or something similar gets the better of them when they hit the road and they end up laying it down just like that. I always make a point, when first leaving to be extra cautious, it is 100% due to the fact that so many people I know have gone down while leaving the driveway.

It’s only slow for me in the mud because I run the Dunlop trailmax missions and they don’t like the real sloppy mud. I can hold her pretty good most of the time but it’s a big bike and it’s kinda heave so when you get over to far all you can do is let it go down and get up and try again.
She is big and heavy but it’s a blast Off road for me it’s great cardio workout throwing the beast around 😬off road on a big bike is for sure not for everyone and I don’t like it everyday but once in a while I like to do some stupid s@&t most of my riding is back gravel roads my favorite place to get lost.
When I went down leaving home I had one of those throttle wrist rests on and when I spun slightly entering the pavement it began to do the tank slap so I went to power threw it and the wrist rest caused me to give it WAY to much throttle to just power threw it and the hole bike lifted off the ground and slammed me downs wrist rest is gone now and I’ll never use one again. Tires weee not cold I had only been home for about 5 mins and it was 80 degrees out

Several years ago 3 of us were on road bikes-I was on my R1100RT BMW, a buddy was on an FJR Yamaha, the 3rd was on a Hondamatic 750. We rode to Pitkin, CO over Mt. Antero to Tincup. I had been over that route on my 04 Wee, but not a big road bike. The ride was uneventful with no damage to expensive plastics on the bikes. What I will never forget is the stunned look on riders coming down from Tincup to Pitkin on dirt bikes, and more suited off road rides. We did that 2X. Anyone who has ridden that route knows it ain't a place for bike road bikes! Fun, memorable, and exciting! That's what it can be all about!

Got out for some good riding yesterday. I hit the TOT for a few hours and then ventured off to see some old friends. Was great weather and riding yesterday here in Ohio. I’m really wanting to take a few days and do the hole TOT that would be a blast. Also I learned that I have been traveling about 50 miles of the TOT my hole life and never knew it 🏍

Thanks I’m glad you enjoy it. Believe me she takes some naps. Coming from dirt bikes it was a big change to not twist it so hard off road but it’s a blast. Waiting patiently for my new skid plate I’m itching to get out on some trails and break in my new hand guards and the skid plate.
