Ok, I've searched and found many similar issues but none that seem to match all at once.

I had my FI Yosh'd today at a Dealer up the road:thumbup:. I don't know if it had anything to do with it or not but on the ride home we'd traveled less then 10 miles and pulling away from a stop light I'd give it gas and it would, for lack of better description, bog down, sound like a 22 mag,:yikes: power dropped out at some point as my clock reset. I'd back off and it'd idle. Repeat and same thing. Pulled over parked put in neutral idle was fine roll throttle and hesitate spit sputter bang. Turned off 2 minutes, back on started right up with no appearant problem. 30 minutes of riding later no problem. Stopped for about 20 minutes when we left pulled back out on 4 lane and the same thing happened:confused:, hesitation, bang. clock reset. This time just stopped turned everything off, back on and no issues.

I know the sputtering back fireing like symptoms are nothing new but I have not seen anything about the power failure in the descriptions.

The yosh FI remap seemed to make a difference just running at speed down the road.

If this falls into the, "it happens sometimes" category, ok. Just so long as I know it.

TIA

RE: Multiple Problems

Did the shop mess with the battery? Maybe they left the ground cable loose.

Lucas
The loose battery connection was one of the first things I thought of as well, seen it been there done that the hard way. Both sides appeared to be making good contact.

I was planning on checking the TPS tomorrow so I'll check the boots when I have it apart.:new_shitsmiley: its always something.

RE: Multiple Problems

I am sure his hands were near the wiring under the tank

Examine and unplug and plug everything under there. Backfire means unburnt fuel in the exhaust or intake. Dramatic interruption of ignition.

If she popped in the intake then the boot is probably blown off and/too product not symptom.
Updating, checked everything to no avail, found nothing. However, neither has it done it again. I must add I've tried 3 different gas stations and the FI adjustment worked like a charm.

Thanks to everyone for the help but I guess I'll chock it up to the road gods being angry that day:biggrinjester:
