Has anyone installed an MRA VarioTouring Spoiler on the Givi D260ST shield? If so, which size did you get?

I'm looking for perfection.

I currently have a CalSci Large but don't want to drill holes in it. Wind management is pretty good, but... hoping for better.

I have a used Givi on the way and will be getting the spoiler shortly after.

Gathering by the lack of response nobody has done that... however, just bought the madstad brackets and in my searches came across the MRA shield (with spoiler attached). Haven't seen the spoiler on its own, mind if i ask what it set you back?

My Madstad 22" Adventure shield with an MRA Vario spoiler attached has just been shipped to me. I have the MRA Vario 20" already and though great for killing the buffeting it is not wide enough. Mark at Madstad Engineering combined the spoiler with his large shield (as big as the Givi) and shipped it out yesterday. Finally I believe, and hope the solution we all crave..

Spoiler was ~$80 at twisted throttle. I did mount it on the Givi. Improvement was incremental, and I'd say it brings the Givi up to the effectiveness of my CalSci large, and the look matches the bike a little better than the CalSci.

When I get more rides in, I plan to take a pic and write something up a little more descriptive.

ST114ME:

I can't answer definitively re the laminar lip. What I did do was buy the spoiler that goes on the Windstrom shield.

It fit perfectly. Was a great deal of help. I followed that up (about 1 year later) with a Madstadt bracket sold to me by a friend of mine didn't want (he changes bikes) his and installed it.

In all fairness this has worked beautifully. The Windstrom spoiler combined with a Madstat bracket has been ideal from my standpoint. The ability to adjust height and angle as provided by the Madstat bracket is pretty much ideal; not only from a turbulence standpoint, but also a weather standpoint. If I pull the screen all the way up and change angle slightly, even in relatively heavy rains I get next to nothing on my helmet shield while riding ... as long as my speed is reasonable. About 50 or so. YMMV

It it makes a difference for you, I am 6' tall and have a bit over a 33" inseam.

I put a MRA screen on my Busa,
I was not that impressed with it,
The flip up part of the shield is rock steady even at WARP
speeds 180 MPH It may work better on the Vee with a more sit up riding style.

Where can I find out about the Windstrom spoiler?
You can get the windstrom here Suzuki V-Strom DL1000 DL650 Motorcycle Windshield Windscreen for '02-'07 VStrom DL 1000 / 650

A couple of the guys I ride with really love the screen. While I didn't care as much for the Windstrom Screen, I loved the how the spoiler worked. So I sold my windstrom screen to a buddy and kept the Spoiler and put it on the stock Suzuki DL Screen (2006).

As an aside, because some people have found it helpful and others did not, I put a couple of spacers in the lower bracket screws to change the angle of the stock Vstrom screen back towards me a bit. That, particularly with the spoiler was very helpful.

But even w/o changing the stock windscreen angle the Windtrom Spoiler was an enormous help.
