Watched the MotoGP race yesterday, nice to see a series where the racers can actually race. Marquez had an inhuman save, washing out the front tire and propping the bike back up with knee and elbow, then showed that a MotoGP bike can work as an ADV bike as he plowed through the gravel trap, and got back on the track. Reentered in something like 14th place, sliced his way through the field to a likely podium finish, then he high-sided and broke his arm.

Quite obvious how hard the riders are pushing the bikes, lots of dicing and passes, riders over-doing and running wide in corners. Real racing, in other words.

If Marquez is out for a few races, should make for great competition. WIth him in the field, almost everyone else is racing for second place.

Superhuman for sure. He is in a class of his own and 99.8% of other riders would have gone down and stayed down after his first error. That he got back among the leaders is testament to his skill and determination.

I was also impressed with MotoGP's theme of "Racing for them", an acknowledgement to those who have suffered COVID-19.

Which is much less controversial than the F1 theme promoted by Lewis Hamilton.
