Hi All,

I'm a new V Strom owner and picked up a demo 2020 650 that came with the Suzuki/Motech aluminum side cases. Originally I thought these were the big 45 litre cases but they measure up as 37 litre. Still, I'm looking for something smaller, and maybe softer. I've googled and searched, but the position of our exhaust limits a lot of the options out there.

Option A: Has anyone installed and used the Motech Sysbag 15 or 30 bags? It looks like they should go on the side racks if I get the mounting plate but I would like to see clearance to the exhaust as well as hear any real life experiences. I realize I would have to get a cable or something for security as well if I went this route.

Option B: Thoughts on what else works with our 2017+ bikes...

Cheers

Givi EA101B 30 liter (100b 40 liter)

Nelson Rigg CL890 or dual sport saddlebags 10-20 liter

I like either of these with the Nelson Rigg Hurricane tail pack/backpack.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. The plan for now is probably to get a Dryspec or similar to put on the tail for smaller forays, then throw the big cans on the sides for bigger trips since I own them already. Those big side bags really seem to stabilize the bike in gusty winds.
