For the DL650 or DL1000 to really be a dual purpose motorcycle you need to provide a bit more room between the front tire and the front fender/mudgaurd. They are so close together now that any type of riding in mud will build up inside the fender and eventually prevent the front tire from turning. (speaking from experience here). I had to remove the front fender completely in order to scrape out the mud so that my front tire would spin once again. Also....you must design a bash plate to protect the exhaust pipes, etc. Other than that....great bike. Of course, you already know about the windshield buffeting problem. A fix for that would be appreciated too.
