My condolences David. Mom's are very special people and it is only when looking back that we fully realise how much they gave up for us.

again my thanks all. Funeral is this Sunday and that article was therapy and speech writing in anticipation of the eulogy

Sorry for your loss. My mother went in to hospice care a week ago. "Motorcycle" was a dirty word in our house, growing up. So I had to wait until I was in college to get my first one. I was home for the summer, riding my little TS-185 around town and on trails up to various lakes. And then one day my mother floored me when she said, "That looks like a lot of fun. I want you to teach me how to ride that thing." Mom and Dad had a decade of delightful rides together on their twin TW-200's, complete with matching leather jackets. Mom NEVER rode on the seat behind anyone. Grateful for great memories.
