hi all. newbie here.

i will be riding my '06 wee from los angeles to sturgis, sd this year. i am interesting in doing some off road riding along the way preferably in the moab, ut area.

does anybody have any suggestions ( hopefully from experience) for some nice, scenic, wee strom capable off road trails?

There is so much to see in Moab good luck picking just one. There is an easy one I think its called the shafer (sp?) trail. It goes out past the pot ash place and under Dead Horse Pt. Its easy, cars do it. Going off road there watch out. Rocks Rocks and more rocks like to break bike parts.

thank you for the advice johnny.. im very stoked to get a way from la for a week or so..

check out Kane creek. You won't be able to finish the loop on the south side, but if you head in from the north till your not comfortable with the offroad conditions. Some very nice views.

but the start is even graded

also Gemini bridges is pretty passable, and intersting views.

and north of town a few ways such as Uranium arch to get on top of the plateau's. provide very nice views, and if you are careful not too hard.
