Have a little less than a quart remaining in the Rotella T6 synthetic oil gallon jug. Just bought what was available in store, Rotella T 15W40 non synthetic.

Can I use up the Syn, and mix with the non-syn?

Obviously I don't need to, but I really don't know if I can mix the two forms of oil.

The new synthetic oils wil mix with regular dino oils. This was not the case many years ago when synthetic oils first became popular.

.....Here is what Shell had to say

Rotella T 15W-40 and the Rotella T Synthetic 5W-40 are compatible, so
they will mix. If you blend them in a 50/50 ratio, then the resultant
oil should be similar to a 10W-40. Thank you for your interest in Shell
products.

Thanks for the replies. Read dozens of pages but info not found on Big Oil thread before asking specific question on new thread.

So now I'm good to go! Thanks.

Now about that "Best Tire" question I had..... :)

You should have posted the question in the big oil thread.
