Just bought a set of Mitas E-70s.. Tired of my new '12 wee going horizontal every time I find some soft sand, anyway, my ??? is when they get here how hard are they to mount and get the bead to seat? Or should I just take them and have them mounted....have done a few but have also fought some a bunch...Thanks

I can't help with your question but I am curious to find out how you like them once you get them mounted, I've been looking at them for my next set.
Please report back once you get some miles on them.

I just dumped my E-O7's for my third set of Shinkos; not because I didn't like them, but because I only needed them for less than 50 of the +/-15,000 miles I put on them. ( a few thousand less on the front due to the recall - and it wore out first ). If the shipping out of Canada didn't add on $50 to the price of the tire I probably would have bought a second set, just for those couple of camping trips in the mountains when the frost is coming out and the road is floating.

E-07s

Well they are on...not too bad to put on, made a wheel, rim, rack out of a 15" car rim and a 5/8 bolt, pair of 15" tire irons and a flat bar, rim protection was a cut up plastic coffee can, also split a section of hose and fastened it on the car rim with zip ties...used some lemon pledge nock-off I got at the dollar store for lube...Anyway, didn't magically turn the wee2 into a RM250 but my, my what a difference. Way More Gooder than the Trail Wings:thumbup:. Have not had them in the mud or water yet but happy so far. They are a bit noisy at slower speeds but not bad and I knew they would be...Now we shall see how long they will last for me...More later

After I put mine on I made a 1,000 mile trip to SC to see my son graduate from boot camp. I road straight thru on the way home in the rain with no issues. However, whenever my speed dropped to an indicated 65 MPH the tires let me know it with a very noticable howl. They did give me confidence in the mud!

I like mine. I've had the rear on for about 5,500km (I figure it's about half gone) and the front a bit less.

Really like them in the gravel and they have been ok in the sloppy stuff so far:

Absolutely no issues on dry tarmac either and they don't put a foot wrong in the wet unless you really push them or hit a painted line or something slippery.

A mate gets 12,000km out of them on his Tiger - I doubt I'll get that much but they were a lot cheaper than the K60's I had on last time and I prefer them to the Heinies on gravel. I only got just over 9,000km outta my Heiny rear, over 11,000 from the front (still had some life in it when I replaced it with an E-07).
