Want to make working on your bike much easier? From personal frustration, I have found that getting the bike higher using forethought will make things sooooo much easier. First, plan ahead what you intend to do. Simply doing a valve adjustment and nothing else? Get the bike up at least 12" keeping in mind that you might need to use wood blocks, and maybe short planks. You may even need to raise the bike at both ends with a big gap between the floor and the engine area. If you have access to a garage or carport, consider installing eye bolts. Strategically placed anchoring bolts in concrete can help immensely, although, anchoring in concrete requires the correct tool such as a rotary hammer drill and SDS bits. Don't waste your time trying to work with concrete using a regular drill. I was stubborn and tired it. Took me over 45 minutes to drill down only 3/4". Using a rotary hammer drill, I drilled 4 holes down to 2 1/2" in less than 15 minutes. Use the correct tools,
