I have read MANY threads on upgrading the rear lighting for the Strom.

I have a plan to do some upgrades, and want to know if they are plausable/possible:

1) Upgrade the turn signal relay to allow for LEDs
2) Upgrade the turn signals to LEDs
3) Purchase the Eastern Beaver harness to allow turn signals to also be running lights
4) Add LED strips to my stock luggage to supplement the above lighting scheme (they would be running/brake/turn signals)

Is this all possible? I was thinking that one cannot turn LEDs into dual intensity (running/brake/turn) without PWM circuit (or a resistor bank).

Am I expecting too much out of my lighting?

I'm looking for a more "integrated" solution. The bags have large RED sections on them (but they aren't even reflectors). I want to turn them into reflective/lit areas using the LEDs.

The one thing I noticed with all of these aftermarket solutions, is that none of them help indicate from the side. The sections on my bags wrap around from the back to the sides and I want to exploit that capability.

Besides - I think I can build this for 1/3 of the $99 price of the Hyperlights kit (depends upon the electrical questions).

I'm looking for a more "integrated" look to the lighting. It is a shame to have those big red plastic windows on the stock luggage only to tack on extra blocks of LEDS. I want to add LEDs INTO the windows and run them like running/brake/turn signals.

I figure somebody has done this before, but I got weary reading thru all the links in Stromtrooper, advrider, vstrom international, etc.:headbang:
