How can a V-Strom be lowered for a rider with a 29" inseam. A custom seat would help a bit but how about the suspension?

You can lower the front by sliding the fork up by 15mm. Use to be
on the tip of my feet now it's better so is handling!

lowering

You can lower the back by changing the dogbones. There is a guy on the Yahoo V-strom2 site that is making some for sale.

Kouba links in the rear and drop the fork tubes 20mm in the clamps. We modified the stock seat till there was 1/2" of foam over the seat pan base and had it recovered. My 5' 0" wife can ride it and get the front part of her Harley boots flat on the ground (not the heels)

How does it handle being lowered that low? Any problems with the kickstand?

No problems street riding, but niether my wife or I are the type to use all of the tire. When I plan an off road trip, I will put back the stock links and reset the fork tubes to stock. Only takes about 20 minutes. Having two seats simplifies everything
