Okay, so I was riding all last season without my lower fairing (piece that covers oil filter and pipe). The moment I hopped on it after removing it I thought it handled better, wheelied much higher and had less drag. Then again I also thought I was going crazy because there is no way that little scoop could make a difference.

Well I recently re-installed it because the head pipe wasn't looking to well.
I swear that the bike handles worse, seems to have a tremendous amount of drag and my wheelies flat out bite. Any one else experience this, or should I pay my shrink another $120.00 to figure this out. :p

You should do a blind test, Sit on the bike and have someone remove it.....or not, the thing is you should not know if its there or not and see the difference. Eliminates the placebo effect. Kind of like the coke vs. pepsi blind test. Just don't look down while riding to see if it's there or not.

Oh...and yes it does sound crazy.
