I've been using Ram Quick Grip XL phone holders for a few years with a 36" lighting cable powered off a USB under the seat. Its a decent setup but as the lighting cable wears the charging gets sketchy. When it rains you have to unplug the charging cable entirely to keep bad things from happening.

While I like the idea of wireless charging I do not like the idea of paying well over a $100 for a wireless charger. Teh other day I was perusing Amazon and came across a few cost-effective alternatives, so I ordered a iMESTOU self-clamping as it had wireless charging and also supported a 1" RAM ball mount for $39. Like most things Amazon ` day later it showed up and I was pleasantly surprised. I come with a 1" arm and a 1" mounting ball that will fit several different diameter tubes. It also has a on/off toggles switch and an integrated USB plug with a rubber cap. Once mounted all you do is squeeze the two tabs and the 4 arms extend out. As you place the phone in the mount there is a button in the center of the charging pad that once the phone contracts it the arms retract the phone is secured and charging.

The power wire does come with an antiquated inline glass fuse and two terminal that connect directly to the battery or fuse block. I did cut these off and soldered on a SAE end so I can plug it into a fused keyed power block I have under the seat. This way I can leave the toggle on the charger set to "ON" all the time and it will only be powered when the key is on.

After wiring it up IO went for a couple of short rides running errands and so far, so good. Charging keeps up with the screen is lighted and apps running, and the phone is also very secure even w/o using the rubber safety strap (like the RAM X-grip has)

While I'm sure this is not the same quality as a $250 Power Squeeze box it'll work for my needs.

I love the ram ball mounts but didn't like the x-grip because it allowed the phone to swivel. I'm using quadlock and a standard usb-c from a 12v socket adapter and I'm happy for the mo.

Quadlock all the way. Allows me to use the same system in my cars and on my bikes, and also offers a vibration dampener. The motorcycle mounts have a positive locking mechanism, so no risk of flying off when I traverse a frost heave.
Nice.

However, my phone stays in my coat pocket. I don’t use it riding, unless something very important needs attention. If the Tenere and I part company, and we have before, I want the phone where I end up laying.

I have a dedicated Garmin for nav duties.

Crampbusters.
Was using the ones with the velcro strap but kept busting them trying to tighten as they tend to slip.
The ones without the velcro are useless IMNSHO.
I have them on both sides to keep my wrists straight
Now switched to these

Four pack for $14 a deal compared to the CrampBusters and more comfortable for me as no slip at all.
I put two on the right.

Tpms system. You can get them off Amazon or eBay for $50ish so you can stop checking tire pressure manually and actually see if they start losing air during a ride.
My favorite is my Alaskan Sheepskin.

I have had it on and get caught in the rain. The cover gets soggy quick but it didn’t hurt it. The Tenere seat pops off with a key, and the pad comes right off (it has 2 elastic straps).
I have some black no slide drawer stuff on my seat. Keeps bottom a bit cooler.

Sit N Fly was too hard and uncomfortable.

Here is a cheap one, shower bottom traction material. Translucent, designed to get wet, and they keep stuff tied on panniers from sliding.

Agreed! I have a couple of the solar sets and most likely when the OEM in wheel TPMS on the GS go tits up, I'll program them out of the computer and go with auxiliary units.

Yep, I too hated the X-grip because it rocked back and forth. That's why I switched to the RAM Quick-Grip. Phone easy in/out and no rocking back and forth. They do make a wireless charging version but its $129 :(

I use my phone as a GPS and for music. I have a Garmin GPS but prefer the iPhone so its stay handlebar mounted running in tandem with Garmin. Amazing how many times they do not match.
