Just thought I'd let the group know about the odd thing that happened to my Strom. I went to get on the bike this morning and noticed the right rear turn signal pointing to the ground. Upon inspection I found that the mounting nut on the inside had begun to work its way off. After moving the tool kit out of the way so I could get my hand into where the nut is I tightened it the best I could. How the heck to you get a wrench on that nut?

You take off the rear fender. Sorry.

By the way, check all of nuts on the bike's flashers. I recently swapped out my stock flashers for Buell flashers and, while doing so, found every one of the nuts finger-tight or only a little bit tighter than that. There is no lock washer or thread locker on these installations. My bike is only two months old so it doesn't surprise me that the nuts on the flasher mounting posts would vibrate off after a bit of riding.

The nuts on the front flasher can be tightened with an open-ended wrench. No. 17, I think.

Before you put it back together, put some loctite on the bolt threads and tighten it by hand. It shouldn't ever vibrate loose again. It's not so much about being tight, as it is the vibrations.
