Back in '05 when I bought my first Wee, I quickly became upset that the speedo was off. There was a guy in California that was making replacement speedo face that corrected the error. I bought one, I think it was under 40 bucks, replaced my stocker and all was good. I now own a new'09, and would like to buy another face from the guy, but I can't remember how to get in touch with him. Anyone here have some contact information for me?

Thanks much in advance,

Wiz

How far off is the speedo on the Wee? Valkyries are (average) 5 mph off (reads faster than you are actually going) but the Interstate with the electronic speedo is closer (1-2 mph off at 65-70), so how far off is the Wee?

TIA.

He's all sold out on 650 plates.
I had an e-mail exchange with him several weeks ago. He's not sure if he's planning on making more, or if he's getting out of the business. If there are enough people interested, I may try to entice him to make one more batch for us. I'm curious how many people here would be interested in a replacement gauge face.

Got Him!

Thanks for the link. I exchanged emails with Austin. He does have a few remaining faces left. If you want one I'd send him an email. I did, and I hope to get my new face soon.

The reason I was upset about the speedo error was because there wasn't anything else to complain about. After 42 years on two wheels and a bunch of bikes we all need to remember how great this one is.

My gearing is OEM, and the speedo is off about 10 mph at 70 mph. I just use my GPS for the speedo. I've had the speedo be off on every bike I've owned.
