It's almost time to change brake pads and I have been looking but every body claims their brake pads are the 'best'.
Did a search and someone said in passing that the EBC - HH pads gave good results.
I'll sacrifice longer life for a little better stopping power.

I don't have the EBC HH's on my Vee, but I have run them before, and yes...they are a good product that you'll not go wrong with.

The guy I bought my Strom from was a heavy rear-brake-er, so I only had to replace the rear pads.

Someone here in the forum liked the Vesrah (sintered metal) on his SV for track days, so I went with those, and what a difference. Locked up the rear wheel pretty easy compared to the stock sponges, so, a lot less effort to stop. Grabby is a good way to describe them.

I love em' and will replace the fronts with them too.

If you ride your Vee on dirt or gravel surfaces, 'grabby' pads are not your friends, as they will tend to lock up the wheels with little provocation. While 'grabby' pads give the illusion of better stopping power, if, in fact, you can lock up the wheels with your present pads (albeit with higher lever/pedal pressure) that is all the stopping power there is. On the street, especially in panic stop situations, weight shift from front braking will leave little weight on the back wheel. Locking that wheel will severely compromise control. A "grabby' pad won't help. I'm sure that expert riders who practice panic braking regularly can incrementally shorten stoppping distance as they can reach max braking a little sooner, and hold the brakes at that level. Someone less expert, stomping on the pedal whilst grasping the lever in a death grip, will lock both wheels, and explore the coefficient of friction of fabric and skin on pavement.

Thanks guys

Thats what I needed, power brakes, and thanks for the warning. I ride very little dirt on purpose. I am going to try for the HH's this time around.

I have just very recently installed the HH EBC's on both ends of my bike, but at the same time I replaced the spongy stock brake lines with braided Galfers too. OMG what a difference! The first few times out on the bike after the mods, I barked the front tire when applying the brakes. Now its a "one finger gets you all you want" system. Worth every penny.

My roomate runs the HH pads on the front of his strom and complains about the wet weather brakeing, just a heads up.

Also, the expert at our local mom and pop shop has cautioned against running the HH pads on the rear, he used to race, so despite the fact that i've forgotten why he reccomended against it, i won't be going that route when i need new rear pads.


Also, just a heads up K7+ have different rotors, so be sure to check your part numbers carefully, i've been waiting on the wrong rotors from EBC for 3 months, finally went with Galfer, should be here friday, but they cost twice as much.
